AFP got a call from their vet's office... EMERGENCY (of course). Someone has found a family of five dogs, abandoned at a foreclosed home! The discoverer brought them to the vet thinking they could leave them, but the vet's office could not take them in. For one thing, they do not have overnight kennels! The quick-thinking techs at the clinic called all the rescues they could find, and no one could take the little family in. AFP stepped up to take in the little Explorer family, named because the pups were all over the car during transport, looking for whatever was around, sitting on top of boxes, trying to adventurously climb on top of everything at 70 mph! What bravery! What curiosity! Mom is "Isabella" , Dad is "Ferdinand", and the three junior explorers, all male about 8 weeks are "Lewis", "Clark", and "Marco". Front and center in this photo is Marco.
ISABELLA
The mother of the littlest explorers looks to be a Lab/Golden Mix. She is about 48lbs and has a very sweet demeanor. She is up to date on vaccinations and will be spayed as soon as possible. She can use a foster or permanent home. As soon as she is fattened up, she will be making appearances at Petco. Father is similar in size and demeanor, both are calm. Contact us to meet the "explorers!"
